This past Friday, Keenan and Katie braved the cold and icy conditions for their late afternoon engagement session. Even though we were all a little on the chilly side, wintertime sessions can turn out to be quite beautiful and magical as you can see here. Although these two live close-by in Reidsville, they had never heard of Grove Winery & Vineyards. I gave them several ideas and choices for locations and they jumped on this one.
These two are naturals in front of the camera. I enjoyed getting to know them better, from hearing about how they met to how Keenan proposed to Katie. On Thanksgiving Day, in front of her entire family, Keenan and her 8 year old son Gray gifted Katie with a custom made photo jigsaw puzzle. She pieced it together and in the center it spelled out "Katie, Will You Marry Me?" And at that moment Keenan got down on one knee with a beautiful engagement ring and proposed to Katie. She said yes! Gray was in on it the entire time and was able to keep a big secret. I love how Keenan included him in on all of this! Gray will also be walking his mother down the aisle.
Keenan and Katie ended their session by going inside to warm up and do a wine tasting. It's awesome when I can bring new customers to my favorite local winey and vineyards, who are also my neighbors. We sure had a fun time and I'm so looking forward to Keenan and Katie's October 2021 wedding!
