June is Pride Month! And it just so happens June was the month same-sex marriage was finally legalized in the United States in all 50 states (June 26, 2015). Here in North Carolina it was legalized on October 14th, 2014 and what a happy day that was! Lets also not forget June is celebrated as Pride Month in honor of the Stonewall Riots. Although I was a toddler then, I've heard about this throughout the years.
Here at Elizabeth Larson Photography, I celebrate all love - I work with all couples, families, and individuals - I cherish the diversity of humanity, which includes (but not limited to) differences in sexual orientation, religion, race, ethnicity, and national origin. We are LGBTQ friendly & celebrate ALL love! LOVE IS LOVE!!
Before same-sex marriage was legalized, I often photograph many friend's celebrations of love. When it was finally legalized I was so happy to hear that some of them had made it legal! I was (and still am) over the moon happy for those who just want to get married and to make it legal! LOVE WINS!
Please reach out to us if you are planning your wedding or if you'd just like to schedule a engagement or couple's session and/or a family session. We are currently offering a special on elopements and intimate weddings due to uncertain times and are practicing social distancing according to Phase 2 in North Carolina. On that note, we prefer to stay local at this time and are honoring this for weddings and sessions within the Greater NC Triad or Triangle. We will be offering that special throughout the summer. More info can be found on a recent blog post HERE.
