The Burke Manor Inn is one of my favorite local venues, right around the corner from where I'm based. Its a beautiful grand historic inn with gorgeous gardens, mature trees, a tented pavilion, and fabulous catering onsite. The innkeepers Lori and Lil are such gracious hosts too. Shannon and Brandus fell in love with the place the minute they saw it. They just knew it was the perfect location for their wedding there last summer.
Shannon looked incredible in her lace, beaded, & satin wedding gown, very classic and elegant. And her bouquet, wow! Their floral designer was amazing - all of the flowers were gorgeous! The bridesmaids wore purple and periwinkle which matched the men's ties and vests. The late afternoon ceremony was held in the garden with dinner and dancing in the pavilion immediately following. Before the ceremony, Brandus and Shannon chose to do a first look. It helped ease any pre-ceremony jitters they had & it gave them a little private time together beforehand. And I can say that when Shannon's dad walked her into the garden ceremony, Brandus had the biggest smile on his face.
These two sure did have a wonderful time at their reception, as did their friends and families. After their introductions and first dances, dinner was served. The food was amazing! And then lots of dancing as they had a great DJ. Not to mention the photobooth, which was very popular among their guests. They enjoyed every minute of it! After the toasts and cake cutting, Brandus and Shannon did their grand sparkler exit. It was such a magical evening!
These two were a joy to work with and I really enjoyed getting to know them. From their fall lakeside engagement session with their two dogs to her bridal session early last summer in the garden at her parent's home. And then the few times we met to plan before the wedding was such a fun time and then really seeing it all come together for them was fantastic. I wish these two many years of happiness together & I'm hopeful that I'll get a chance to work with them again someday.
