Erin and Eli are planning a fall wedding at Fred Fletcher Park, where we got together last week for their engagement session. It's a gorgeous park and we lucked out with the weather - it was a warm, beautiful spring morning, with many flowers and trees in bloom. I can totally see why they chose this location for their wedding - the best kept secret in Raleigh! Their ceremony will be held in the garden overlooking the Japanese maples and the reception onsite in The Borden Building, a spacious brick historic home with beautiful hardwood floors, fireplaces throughout, and tall ceilings.
These two met at a church retreat in the mountains shortly after Erin moved to Raleigh. Erin had been living & teaching music abroad prior so that was a great way to meet her future husband! After dating for some time, last fall they took a trip back to the mountains and while on the Blue Ridge Parkway, Eli proposed with a beautiful ring. She said yes and the planning began! After meeting Erin back in December for coffee, I just knew she was going to be fabulous to work with. And finally getting to meet Eli last week, I see that they're really great together!
Erin's mom, who lives in Florida and where Erin is originally from, came up for the week to help plan and meet with vendors. It was such a pleasure meeting her too! We even took a few mother-daughter photos and I had to share my favorite. Can't wait until Eli and Erin's November wedding!
