It's hard to believe we are coming up on almost a year since Shane and Holly's destination wedding at Caswell Beach, located on the coast of North Carolina. They were married on October 21, 2023 on a gorgeous sunny day and the fall weather was perfection!
Shane and Holly chose a private home right on the beach for their celebration overlooking the ocean. The ceremony site was also set up right on the beach, which was also a beautiful backdrop for photography. Arriving a couple hours before the ceremony, I had such an enjoyable time photographing the details and then joining Holly and her two sisters while getting ready, who were her attendants. Her oldest sister, Charon, and I have since become friends and I'm so grateful for her referral for her sister's wedding. I also spent some time with Shane and his groomsmen while they prepared for the festivities too.
Shane and Holly's son "L" played a big role in their wedding as well, walking his mom "down the aisle" for their ceremony. After a beautiful late afternoon ceremony and photographs on the beach of their families, their wedding party, and just the two of them together, Shane and Holly were introduced and the reception was underway.
Everyone was seated outside on the deck at several long tables overlooking the beach. After a fabulous meal was served, Shane and Holly did their first dance together on the walkway to the beach, just as the sun started to set. After their dance, the champagne toasts were made by friends and family in the bridal party.
Everyone came inside afterwards, as Shane and Holly then cut their cake. Their cake was displayed in a corner nook of the large chef's kitchen. Family and friends gathered around the newlyweds for some super sweet photo ops, including myself. I love that the icing on their cake had hints of the ocean's hues in it. Every little detail of their wedding was well thought out and didn't go unnoticed.
So grateful to have been included in such a wonderful occasion and celebration! What a festive celebration, a wonderful couple, and a truly a fun evening.

Tamarah Ellen - Beautiful photography. They had perfect weather. I love her mink stole too, at the reception.
