Cody and Melissa recently celebrated their one year wedding anniversary. They were married on a beautiful first day of fall last September 22nd. Their amazing day is still fresh in my mind! These two were such a dream to work with, as were their families and friends. Not to mention a fabulous team of vendors.
In the mid 70's with some occasional sun peaking through the clouds, the weather couldn't of been any more perfect for their outdoor ceremony. It also made for some very lovely photos. There are so many wonderful locations for photography at Luna's Trail Farm throughout the property.
After family and wedding party photos, I slipped away with the newlyweds for a couple's session for some photos just before the sunset. We walked down through a beautiful meadow to a covered bridge, which made for some unique photographs. And because we had two photographers at this wedding, Grace was able to cover cocktail hour outside on the veranda.
The reception was held indoors in a super cool rustic building, which has a really unique tin ceiling in the main ballroom and large windows overlooking the meadow and woods. Cody and Melissa sure do know how to put on a fun party! Their DJ and emcee, also had folks out on the dance floor most of the night. And when it came time for the toasts and then cutting cake - well, they did something totally different. In fact, they did not have a wedding cake at all! They fed one other Krispy Kreme Donuts!
It was the perfect celebration!

Elizabeth Larson - This venue is in the foothills of NC near Pilot Mountain (in Westfield, NC). They were the sweetest couple, whom I'm still keeping in touch with (Melissa has written me glowing reviews & recommended me to others for their weddings!).
Wedding design work was by Jenn Ball & her team at Knot Your Average Events and Designs North was their floral designer. All the vendors were wonderful and very professional. I'm sorry you didn't get a chance to 2nd shoot this wedding with me! Maybe we'll get another one there?
Thanks so much for your wonderful & kind words, Tamarah! XO

Tamarah Ellen - Elizabeth, these photos are gorgeous. What a beautiful place. I am not familiar with this one. I absolutely love the rustic and I love the Bride and Groom's table with the giant sunflowers and that gorgeous sheath covering the tablecloth. How beautifully designed. The photos capture the beautiful day and the gorgeous event venue.
