Curtis and Becca's engagement session was an absolute blast! After much planning and hoping for the best that the weather would cooperate, we agreed on Belle Isle in Richmond, VA. We met in a parking lot, as you have to cross over the James River to the island on a foot bridge to the island. Belle Isle is the name of the actual park, which is on Browns Island. Its been at least 12 years since I was there and I'd forgotten what a hidden gem it is! So many unique places for photo ops. And I love that they brought their sweet girl, Rae with them. What a great dog she is - I love it when clients include their pets! Rae is part of the family without a doubt.
Although Curtis and Becca originally met in the Greensboro area, where they are both originally from, they relocated to Williamsburg, VA pretty recently. It just so happens I was going to be at my dad's in the same town last week and we were able to do their session in Richmond just 45 minutes away. We lucked out with the weather, although it was a little chilly and windy, especially crossing over the river. At least it didn't rain!
These two were adventurous and we certainly had a great evening! I can not wait until their October wedding at Mountain View Farm in Rougemont, NC & working with one of my favorite wedding planners and coordinators too - Jennifer Ball of Knot Your Average Events. Its going to be fantastic!
