Somehow spring got away from me and here we are, it's now summer! Back in April I taught another fun photography workshop at Reynolda Gardens. This one was for the DSLR or Mirrorless camera photographer who wanted to learn more about getting off of the auto feature and learn some tips about shooting in manual, aperture priority, and more. We also went over the basics in photography including perspective, leading lines, rules-of-third and more.
Four students had initially registered, however two of them, a couple, had to drop out at the last minute. The show had to go on and it was a joy to have Carol Hoover and Abbie Eaton in my two-evening workshop! Jon Roethling, the director of Reynolda Gardens also joined us the first evening with his camera. Small classes are great to teach, as I can spend more one on one time with each student. Typically, I allow up to ten students per class, but rethinking that for future.
Carol has taken one of my Smartphone Photography workshops before. She and I have done some hiking and photo outings together also. It was nice to have her back in one of my classes again. Both Carol and Abbie shared a handful of their favorites from the class. Abbie even shared some with me from her trip to New Bern, NC. She works long hours, so I was grateful she was able to take my workshop at all, let alone finding the time to share them with us!
Each photo has a credit watermark on them. Please do not copy or share without permission from the photographers. If you'd like to take a closer look, you may click on each one to enlarge. These two ladies created some beautiful and creative photography! I hope that you enjoy!
Stay tuned for future workshops which I will be teaching at Reynolda Gardens. Soon, the conservatory will be complete with a full restoration. On that note, their classroom will be opened once again. My two spring 2024 workshops were taught all outside in the garden and I'm grateful we had such beautiful weather in April!
Last but not least, I am teaching two upcoming Summer Workshops! Info can be found HERE! I'm teaching a Travel Photography for the DSLR/Mirrorless camera in July in Western North Carolina and Smartphone Photography locally in August!
