Last Sunday, on April 23rd, I taught another super fun "Smartphone Camera" Photography Workshop, at Paul J Ciener Botanical Garden. Originally we had planned to have it the day before on Saturday. However Mother Nature had her own plans - April showers bring May flowers & also the tulips were just about over (they bloomed much earlier this spring, due to warmer temps). Unfortunately, two of my students could not attend on Sunday. However I'm hopeful they will be able to take a future workshop with me. I will be teaching this class again in August. More info on that, if you keep reading.
Some of the things we covered were several different camera apps & editing apps and all of the many camera features that phones come with already. I also offered tips on things such as changing your perspective, rules of third, leading lines, and to consider your lighting. Although those with Androids or Pixel smartphones could take this class, everyone in this particular class had Apple devices. No matter what you have, you can still make beautiful and interesting photographs.
Although it was a small group this time, I sure enjoyed having Mryna, Tracy, and Diann in my class. We had a fun afternoon together and in such a beautiful location. Everyone learned something new, including myself! These ladies all took some wonderful photos, wouldn't you agree? It always gives me great pleasure to see how creative and unique each individual is. Everyone has a different eye and I just love this!
If this class sounds like something you'd like to take, I am teaching "Smartphone Photography Among the Late Summer Blooms" at Ciener Garden on Tuesday, August 22nd, from 5:30-8:30pm. More information & registration can be found on Ciener's Event Page HERE. I'd love to have you in class!
