What a fun time we had last month at the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden in the "Taking Better Photographs - Beginning DSLR Digital Photography" workshop. Teaching photography is something I so much enjoy and I'm thrilled I was able to coordinate dates with the folks at the garden, especially during a pandemic. We spent the majority of our time outside and I think that was good for everyone, including myself.
My eight students and I met for three Tuesday evenings on August 11th, 18th, and 25th. Everyone learned so much, including how to shoot in manual, reading a histogram, setting white balance, perspective, leading lines, metering, how to read/see light, and more. Their work needs to be seen, so I'm featuring it here. Each student has a photo credit on each image - please do not copy or share without permission. Most of their work/assignments were done in-class but several worked on them outside of class too. Thank you so much Toni, Della, Ed, Marielle, Laura, Chip, Janine, and John for being in my class!
