It was great to be back this month teaching at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden! We met three evenings for "Taking Better Photographs - Beginning DSLR Digital Photography" and the weather was perfect all three evenings for us to get out in the garden. Although class-size was pretty small this time with just four, we actually started out with six who signed up. Two of them ended up having work conflicts and sadly couldn't make it.
Summer, Kim, Kristen, and Jim learned so much, including how to shoot in manual, reading a histogram, metering, how to read/see light, setting white balance, perspective, leading lines, and more. We had such a fun time and it's always thrilling when I see my students finally "get it", after trying to figure out what it all means when they arrive the first evening of class.
Everyone submitted a few favorites and on that note, I wanted to feature their work here on my blog. Each student has a photo credit on their image(s) - please do not copy or share without permission. They sure did turn out some fabulous work & I'm like a proud parent!
