This week, I've been prepping for the annual Kernersville Parks and Recreation's Father-Daughter Dance which is coming up on Saturday, February 8th. The theme this year is "Under the Sea" and I have quite a few ideas up my sleeve! I've selected a blue "tie dye" full-length background, which is to mimic the color of the sea, along with some nautical props. This will my sixth year in a row covering this super fun event. I can't wait to see all the beautiful little girls (and not so little!) with their Dads come to my camera. Many of them have been coming back to the dance year after year, so its always great to see familiar faces and meet new people too.
With tickets being sold within 24 hours of them going on sale, it's going to be a busy evening! My partner, Terry, is helping me again this year with setup and to answer any questions the dads might have. My friend & colleague, Tamarah, will be helping me with posing, checking the girl's hair - and the dad's ties! Hopefully this will speed up the process even more so this year. This event seems to grow bigger and bigger each year!
Stay tuned for photos coming after this year's dance, which again is a week from tomorrow. I can't wait to share! In the meantime here are just a few from over the years. Looking forward to being back and working with the Kernersville Parks and Recreation folks again and Dan with On Target DJ.
