From the moment I met Jeanna & Diana last winter I knew they were going to be wonderful to work with. They celebrated their own romantic royal wedding at Castle McCulloch on May 19th. After a brief early morning shower, the skies cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful day! The morning ceremony was held in the Great Hall. I loved how Jeanna's parents walked her down the aisle first, then Diana's parents met her at the bottom of the steps and walked her up the aisle meeting Jeanna at the alter. What was so nice about this wedding is that it was so family-oriented. Jeanna's sister was her maid of honor, Diana's brother was her man of honor, and Jeanna's son Miles, served as ring bearer and the three of them did the sand ceremony together. Then Diana presented Miles with a gift, which was so heartfelt - a "dog-tag" with a sweet sentiment engraved on it. It was wonderful how they included Miles in every aspect of the wedding day and how they officially became a family of three.
We were all thankful the weather turned nice that day, as we were able to take photos outside of the newlyweds with their families. The grounds around the Castle are always so scenic for photos. After we finished taking photos, Jeanna and Diana were introduced and went into their first dance. The reception was beautifully lit with candles and the floral centerpieces were gorgeous. A delicious brunch buffet was served along with an omelette station and all the works. The dessert table was a big hit with miniature fruit pies, chocolate soufflé cups, mini cupcakes, and of course wedding cake which Jeanna and Diana cut together. After cutting the cake, the toasts were made and the dancing continued with live jazz performed by the amazing Jessica Mashburn on keys and vocals and Evan Olson on guitar. As always I truly enjoyed working with Jenn and her team of Knot Your Average Events. She is so organized and her creativity always shines through! Everyone worked together to make Jeanna and Diana's special day amazing. Most of all, I really enjoyed working with these sweet ladies & wish them many years of happiness!
